| tempura Ingredients: : 1 zucchini 1 onion 1 green pepper 1 carrot 1 spring of parsley 1 liter of olive oil Tempura Dough: 2 cups of flour 3/4 cups of cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon of yeast 1 egg 3 glasses of cold water Recipe : Tempura Dough: Mix the flour, the cornstarch and the yeast. On a bigger bowl containing ice water place a smaller bowl inside with the water and egg light beaten. In the smaller bowl add the flour, cornstarch and yeast mixture and stir lightly. Be careful not to stir too much, and keep the dough cold. Tempura: Cut the zucchini, and slice the onion. Cut the green peppers and julienne the carrot. Dip them in the tempura dough, and fry them in oil at 180°C (it does not have to brown). In the case of the parsley, fry it for only a few seconds, and leave it to dry on a paper towel. Serve it on a squared plate. Tips : Other vegetables that can be used are: squash, potato, mushroom, asparagus, and any type of fish. |
